Not many of us might have heard this name. If I say Pele - many of us know. he was considered as The greatest football player of all time also named as "Athlete of the Century" by Olympics committee. Edson was born in Brazil in 1940 and named after Thomas Alwa Edison. Then how did he get the name Pele? During his school days he misspoke his favourite player 'Bile' as Pele and it stuck on him. Though Edson did not like it - Pele became his identity. They had no idea what the name Pele means but in Hebrew it means 'Miracle'. Pele became the youngest to represent Brazil and won worldcup for 3 times. He has scored more than 1200 goals in his career As a boy, Pele used to play with a sock stuffed with paper as he could not afford to buy a football and eventually went on to become the first Millaniore football player through endorsments. Pele defines Success as no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.
