All you need to know about Green hydrogen are discussed here.

#greenhydrogen - What is it?
Why Govt should approve to invest thousands of crores on Green Hydrogen?
Because Hydrogen is widely used in many #industries, #electronics, #metal, #methanool, #amonia production, and food processing
But have you ever Heard of white hydrogen, Brown hydrogen, Grey Hydrogen, Blue Hydrogen? - Why there are so many colors of Hydrogen?
Confused? Dont worry lets understand it
#Naturally occuring #H2 is called White Hydrogen
When you obtain the hydrogen from gasification of coal is called black
If it is from Fossil fuels and releasing byproduct #CO2 we call it grey
if we store #CO2 instead of releasing we call it blue
Hydrogen obtained from #Electrolysis using #Nuclear energy is called Pink
The same electrolysis if we do using #Renewable energy is called #GREEN
Unfortunately, 99% of the current hydrogen production is either Grey or Blue type
For every 1 kg of Hydrogen we end up producing 9.3 Kg of #Carbondioxide.
which means we produce more than 830 Million Tons of Carbon dioxide per year
equivalent to the combined CO2 emissions of the United Kingdom and France
Noooo thats too much #carbon, Its Not cool at all...
That is why it is important to produce Hydrogen in Non-polluting way
and the best way we know is to obtain it through electrolysis.
All we need is water and power supply to break this H20.
But do we have enough power supply for this process?
Answer is BIG NO. to put in perspective !
Even if we use all the Electricity generated by the Entire #Europe to do this electrolysis it is not sufficient to produce enough Hydrogen for the year.
So we need to rely mostly on low cost renewable energy for the power supply and current infra structure and technology development is not sufficient
Hence not only India many other Big nations are investing heavily on Research and development of Green technologies
The green hydrogen is the fuel of the future transportation it can cut a big chunk of the current CO2 emissions. The gasoline, the gas, the coal and all other fuels will be gradually displaced by hydrogen. From industrial to domestic use, the way forward is the use of hydrogen as the main fuel.
