2022 Judgements of Supreme Court that Empowers women

 Supreme Court in 2022 ruled five important judgements which boosts the women rights in India.

1. Marital Rape: Sexual Assault by the husband can take the form of Rape. Wife has the right to bring the offending husband to court. 2. Abortion Legal: Regardless of Marital status, Women has the right to safe and legal abortion up to 24 weeks of pregnancy. 3. Child’s Surname: Mother being natural guardian has right to decide Surname of the child, equating her position as the father. 4. Two Finger Test: SC Banned the practice of Virginity test on Rape or Sexual assault victims. Sexually active women can also be raped. 5. Dowry Demand: Seeking Money for any purpose like property or valuable security of any nature will be considered as Dowry.
